# Use a steel measuring tape. # Measure to the nearest millimetre. # Clearly note which measurement you write down is the width and which is the height. Always indicate the width measurement first followed by the height measurement. (W x H) # When measuring for an inside mount, take the actual window opening size to give to us. We will make deductions to ensure the blind fits properly. For an inside mount: Measure the opening width at the top, centre and bottom, recording the narrowest width. Measure the height on the left, centre and on the right and record the tallest height. We will make your blind slightly narrower than you specified so that it will not rub against your window reveals, so remember to provide us with the exact opening measurements. For an outside mount: Measure the opening width and if there is room, add at least 2" to each side of the opening to prevent light gaps. Measure the opening height and add at least 60mm in height to allow for the mounting brackets. If you specify an outside mount, we will not make any deductions to your measurements - your blind will be made at the exact size you specify. Note: When measuring, don't be surprised if your windows aren't square - most aren't. We custom make your blinds to the sizes you specify. If these sizes are incorrect, it is not possible to change the blind, so take your time when measuring and if you need any assistance, please call us at (071) 985 4047. ![]() |
